WARD GRANTS

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £15,000 to each Ward covered for the financial year 2020/2021. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

 

Councillors Galley and T Williams of Anchorsholme Ward have requested £200 as funding for their involvement in setting up and personally organising “Project Care” for Anchorsholme Ward residents with regard to a leaflet print and drop at the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown to let residents know of the help available in the community.

 

Councillors Cain and Hobson of Bloomfield Ward have requested £1,710 as funding to The Boathouse Youth project towards the provision of summer holiday support in providing activities and lunches for the isolated youth in Bloomfield Ward.

 

Councillors R Scott and Wing of Greenlands Ward have requested £4,863.60 as funding to the North Blackpool Pond Trail to support a Project Officer to help maintain the Pond Trail from September 2020 to March 2021 within Greenlands Ward.

 

Councillors Cross and Farrell of Ingthorpe Ward have requested £2,431.80 as funding to the North Blackpool Pond Trail to support a Project Officer to help maintain the Pond Trail from September 2020 to March 2021 within Ingthorpe Ward.

 

Councillors Benson and Mitchell of Layton Ward have requested:

(i)£1,047.40 as funding to Blackpool Stanley Rugby League Club for the provision of basic rugby equipment to enable the setting up of a new youth team.

(ii)£350 as funding the Grounds Maintenance Team for the clearance of the unadopted alleyway to the rear of Wembley Avenue.

 

Councillors Campbell and Kirkland of Park Ward have requested:

(i)£2,054 as funding to The Boathouse Youth project towards the provision of summer holiday support in providing activities and lunches for the isolated youth in Park Ward.

(ii)£2,445 as funding to Christ the King Catholic Academy towards the purchase of 150 summer nature project boxes for the children attending the school to continue learning throughout the summer period.

(iii)£2,200 as funding to Groundworks@TheGrange Meals on Wheels to deliver meals to the isolated and vulnerable on Grange Park.

 

 

 

Councillors Jackson and Owen of Victoria Ward have requested:

(i)£2,445 as funding to St Cuthbert’s Catholic Academy towards the purchase of 150 summer nature project boxes for the children attending the school to continue learning throughout the summer period.

(ii)£295 as funding the Street Cleansing Department for the clearance of the unadopted alleyway to the rear of Marton Drive.
