To approve the development of a site within The Talbot Gateway (Central Business District) as grade ‘A’ office accommodation and to authorise the execution of the Contracts necessary to facilitate this Development.

2.      To approve the terms of the Deed of Variation to the Forward Funding Agreement with Muse Developments Limited for the development of the office accommodation and associated infrastructure.

 

3.      To authorise the expenditure and contracts to facilitate the above detailed in this report.

 


01/12/2022 - ACQUISITION OF 13 CHARLES STREET, BLACKPOOL, FY1 3HD. ref: 2297    Recommendations Approved

To consider the freehold acquisition of 13 Charles Street, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY1 3HD, as registered under HM Land Registry Title Number: LA416234 (the “Property”).

To proceed with the acquisition of the Property.  The acquisition will be under section 227 Town and Country Planning Act 1990 ("the 1990 Act") for the purpose of facilitating the carrying out of development, redevelopment or improvement on or in relation to that Property. The Council’s intention in acquiring the Property under section 227 of the 1990 Act is to enable the operation of powers under section 203 of the Housing and Planning Act 2016 ("the 2016 Act") for planning purposes to facilitate the carrying out of redevelopment.

 


30/11/2022 - Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) - Infrastructure Support in the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) Sector ref: 2280    Recommendations Approved

To confirm the outcome of the recent tender exercise undertaken for the provision of Infrastructure Support in the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) Sector.

29/11/2022 - WARD COUNCILLOR FUNDING ref: 2279    Recommendations Approved

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £7,500 to each Ward Councillor covered for the financial year 2022/2023. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

 

Councillor R Scott of Greenlands Ward has requested £513.15 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Air Training Corps 2454 Squadron North Blackpool to put on a Christmas Fair to help raise funds for the Corps.

 

Councillor Brookes of Hawes Side Ward has requested £1,375.00 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco Waste Services for a waste amnesty in September 2022 for Hawes Side Ward.  This is a retrospective application due to circumstances outwith the Councillor’s control namely the delay in clarification of how this funding would be paid to Enveco.

 

Councillor Critchley of Hawes Side Ward has requested £1,375.00 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco Waste Services for a waste amnesty in September 2022 for Hawes Side Ward.  This is a retrospective application due to circumstances outwith the Councillor’s control namely the delay in clarification of how this funding would be paid to Enveco

 

Councillor Hunter of Highfield Ward has requested £456 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Illuminations Department for the supply and installation of lights on the Christmas Tree at Highfield Road.

(i)£228 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Illuminations Department for the supply and installation of lights on the Christmas Tree on Devonshire Road.

(ii)£1,245 as ward councillor funding donation to Holy Family Catholic Primary School towards the purchase of 10 new ipads for use by the pupils in the school.
