23/11/2021 - TRANSPORTATION OF DEAD BODIES ON BEHALF OF H.M. CORONER BLACKPOOL AND FYLDE JURISDICTION ref: 1987    Recommendations Approved

To confirm the outcome of the recent tender exercise undertaken for the transportation of dead bodies on behalf of H M Coroner, Blackpool and Fylde jurisdiction.

15/11/2021 - LICENSING DECISIONS FOR THE WEEK ENDING 14 NOVEMBER 2021 ref: 1984    Recommendations Approved

The Head of Licensing Service deals with a number of requests for licences under the Licensing Act, the Gambling Act and other pieces of legislations. Details of the licences, applied for and granted are outlined in the report.

The Head of Licensing Service agreed to grant the licences as set out in the attached Appendices.

 

 


19/11/2021 - SHOWTOWN MUSEUM EXHIBITION FIT OUT ref: 1986    Recommendations Approved

To provide updated information for renewed approval to enter into contract with the four main contractors for the Showtown exhibition fit out.

Decision:

  1. To approve the Council entering into formal contract with Beck Interiors, Sysco Productions, Squint/Opera and AIVAF Ltd for the exhibition work on the Showtown Museum.

 

  1. To authorise Showtown’s Project Sponsor (Alan Cavill) to oversee a single, follow up, cost check process at or around 1 February 2022.  This exercise to be limited to the three contractors where materials form a key part of their costs – ie Beck Interiors, Sysco Productions and AIVAF Ltd – and only to proceed without recourse to the Project Board if the resulting costs remain within the original budget framework.

16/11/2021 - BLACKPOOL TOWN DEAL - SUBMISSION OF SUMMARY BUSINESS CASES ref: 1989    Recommendations Approved

To provide an update on the Town Deal funding programme and authority for the required submission of the final 4 of the 7 scheme “Summary Documents” to the Department of Levelling Up, Homes and Communities (DLUHC – formerly MHCLG) under the terms of the delegation agreed by the Executive at its meeting on 16th November 2020 (EX48/2020)

a)  To approve the submission of the final 4 Summary Business Cases for The Edge, Blackpool Central Courts Relocation,  Multiversity and Revoe/Southern Quarter Community Sports Village  (Appendices A, B, C and D) together with the Public Sector Equalities Duty Programme (Appendix E) signed by Chair of the Town Deal Board and s151 Officer.

 

b) To authorise the Chief Executive and Head of Legal to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with Blackpool and the Fylde College to commit to the bring forward the delivery of the Multiversity and the development of a further business case to secure the funding for the construction of the Multiversity.
