14/01/2021 - BLACKPOOL LOCAL PLAN UPDATED LOCAL DEVELOPMENT SCHEME - 2020 ref: 1745    Recommendations Approved

To consider the updated Local Development Scheme (LDS) which outlines the remaining production timetable for The Blackpool Local Plan Part 2: Site Allocations and Development Management Policies document and the timetable for the commencement of the review of the Blackpool Local Plan Part 1: Core Strategy.  This document replaces the 2014 Local Development Scheme.

11/01/2021 - WARD FUNDING ref: 1744    Recommendations Approved

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £15,000 to each Ward covered for the financial year 2020/2021. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

 

Councillor Taylor of Claremont Ward has requested:

£250 as funding to The Magic Club in Claremont Ward to purchase Christmas Selection Boxes for children in Claremont Ward. Submitted as a solo application, due to Councillor Lynn Williams having an interest in the matter as she holds the position of Chairman of the Club.

 

Councillors Taylor and L Williams of Claremont Ward have requested:

£1,405 as funding to the Street Scene Team as part of a “Waste Amnesty” within Claremont Ward to provide the Rover Van, skip hire and cleansing services.

06/01/2021 - Showtown Museum Base Build Conlon Construction ref: 1916    Recommendations Approved

To seek approval to contract Conlon Construction Ltd to provide the base build for Showtown.

05/01/2021 - SUNDRY DEBT, COUNCIL TAX, HOUSING BENEFIT OVERPAYMENTS AND BUSINESS RATES WRITE OFFS ref: 1739    Recommendations Approved

This report lists applications to write off outstanding balances of Sundry Debts, Housing Benefit Overpayments and Business Rates where there is no prospect of recovery or recovery of the debt is inappropriate.

 

The Corporate Write Off Policy states that all Sundry Debt, and Housing Benefit Overpayments over £5,000 and Business Rates over £10,000 must be authorised by Executive.

Councillors Clapham and Wilshaw of Bispham Ward have requested £20,000 as funding to Westcliff School for the purchase and installation of astroturf grounds for the school.

 

Councillors Cross and Farrell of Ingthorpe Ward have requested £480 as funding to Glasdon Group Limited for the purchase and installation of wall mounted Christmas Trees for Bispham Village.

 

Councillors Jackson and Owen of Victoria Ward have requested £4,410 as funding to the Alley Gates Team for the purchase and installation of alley gates at Lunedale Avenue.
