Agenda and decisions

Members are asked to declare any interests in the items under consideration and in doing so state:

(1) the type of interest concerned either a

(a)   personal interest

(b)   prejudicial interest

(c)   disclosable pecuniary interest (DPI)

and

(2) the nature of the interest concerned

If any member requires advice on declarations of interests, they are advised to contact the Monitoring Officer in advance of the meeting.

To present the Council Plan 2024 – 2027 for recommendation to the Council.

The Executive resolved as follows:

To recommend Council to approve the Council Plan 2024 – 2027 with effect until 31 December 2027.

To seek endorsement of the new Blackpool Cultural Strategy, its Action Plan and related funding bids.

The Executive agreed the recommendations as outlined above namely:

1.      To endorse the Blackpool Cultural Strategy and Action Plan and confirm the Council’s commitment to being a key partner in contributing to its delivery over the next 5 years is agreed.

2.      To confirm the Council’s commitment to being a partner in delivering the Arts Council Place Partnership Fund bid to be submitted by the Grand Theatre on behalf of the Creative Blackpool Development Group.

3.      To commit £75,000 in total over the programme delivery period set out in the bid (January 2025 to 31 March 2027) as identified in the financial considerations.
