Purpose:

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £7,500 to each Ward Councillor covered for the financial year 2022/2023. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

 

Councillor Galley of Anchorsholme Ward has requested:

(i)£2,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to Anchorsholme Primary Academy towards new reading materials, games and a Basket Ball Project.

(ii)£125 as a ward councillor funding donation to Sevenoaks Saturday Club towards the purchase of refreshments, food and bunting for a King’s Coronation Event.

(iii)£6,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Friends of Anchorsholme Park for the purchase and planting of 6 large trees on Anchorsholme Lane East.

(iv)£254.97 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Friends of Anchorsholme Park for the purchase and planting of 3 large shrubs for the Park.

 

Councillor T Williams of Anchorsholme Ward has requested:

(i)£2,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to Anchorsholme Primary Academy towards new reading materials, games and a Basket Ball Project.

(ii)£125 as a ward councillor funding donation to Sevenoaks Saturday Club towards the purchase of refreshments, food and bunting for a King’s Coronation Event.

(iii)£4,080 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Parks Development Service towards the cost of solar powered lights on East Pines Park.

 

Councillor Cain of Bloomfield Ward has requested:

(i)£590 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Highways Department to install a footway crossing on Bethesda Road to allow disabled access from Donna’s Dream House.

(ii)£420 as a ward councillor funding donation to Red Rose Women’s Group towards to the hire of a coach for a trip to Bury Market for the group.

(iii)£250 as a ward councillor funding donation to Red Rose Women’s Group towards the purchase of heated electric throws to keep those attending the Group warm in the winter months.

(iv)£3,994 as a ward councillor funding donation to Donna’s Dream House towards the purchase of a specialised medical bed for the charity.

(v)£300 as a ward councillor funding donation to Donna’s Dream House to purchase snowdrop bulbs to plant in Stanley Park as a remembrance for families.

(vi)£400 as a ward councillor funding donation to 9th Blackpool Brownies and Guides towards a trip for those young people attending the group from Bloomfield Ward.

(vii)£1,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to Ibbison Court Café and Gardening Club for the purchase of new kitchen and café equipment for the Club.

(viii)£375.18 as a ward councillor funding donation to Revoe Library for the purchase of new children’s book stock for the Library.

(ix)£715 as a ward councillor funding donation to Revoelution as a contribution towards the costs of running football coaching sessions at Revoe Park for young people.

 

Councillor Hobson of Bloomfield Ward has requested £3,530.05 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Highways and Parks Departments for the installation and planting up of the Tyldesley Road Traffic Island to improve drainage.

 

Councillor G Coleman of Brunswick Ward has requested:

(i)£3,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to St Thomas’ Church to provide activities and trips out of the Fylde for under privileged young people.

(ii)£2,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to Leisure Services to provide PlayZone Football sessions at the Talbot and Brunswick Sports Barn to encourage young people to participate in sport.

 

Councillor Burdess of Clifton Ward has requested:

(i)£300 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco Waste Services towards the Clifton Waste Amnesty covering the VAT for this service.

(ii)£500 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Library Service for the purchase of new book stock for young readers for Langdale Library.

 

Councillor Hutton of Clifton Ward has requested:

(i)£3,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco Waste Services to provide a Waste Amnesty within Clifton Ward.

 

Councillor R Scott of Greenlands Ward has requested £2,119.96 as a ward councillor funding donation to 2454 North Blackpool Air Training Corps to fund new training aids and IT equipment for the group.

 

Councillor Wright of Greenlands Ward has requested:

(i)£500 as a ward councillor funding donation to 57th Blackpool Scouts towards purchasing camping equipment for the group.

(ii)£165 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Library Service for the purchase of new book stock for Moor Park Library.

(iii)£800 as a ward councillor funding donation to Moor Park Primary School for the purchase of material and plants to create a Memorial Garden and encourage gardening skills.

 

Councillor Hunter of Highfield Ward has requested £400 as a ward councillor funding donation to the 9th Blackpool Brownies and Guides towards a group trip outside the Fylde area.

 

Councillor Farrell of Ingthorpe Ward has requested:

(i)£1,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to St Bernadettes Catholic Primary School for the purchase of new furniture for the school library.

(ii)£124.82 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Library Service for the purchase of new young people’s book stock for Moor Park Library.

(iii)£350 as a ward councillor funding donation to Jellyfish Theatre to provide an outdoor theatre project within Ingthorpe Ward for young people to attend and participate in.

(v)£1,550 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Parks Department to provide bee hives for the Community Garden at Moor Park.

 

Councillor Benson of Layton Ward has requested:

(i)£1,500 as a ward councillor funding donation to Layton Methodist Church towards setting up a Forward Centre, purchasing IT equipment and setting up a website.

(ii)£551.48 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Parks Department to purchase and install lit bollards along a path in Kingscote Park.

 

Councillor D Coleman of Marton Ward has requested:

(i)£711 as a ward councillor funding donation to 14th and 16th Blackpool Guides for the purchase of camping equipment for the groups.

(ii)£1,187.43 as a ward councillor funding donation to 14th and 16th Blackpool Guides towards provisions and decorations for a Coronation Event to be held for the groups.

(iii)£189.46 as a ward councillor funding donation to 14th and 16th Blackpool Guides towards a sports day event for the Rainbows and Brownies within the groups.

(v)£1,276 as a ward councillor funding donation to Blackpool Boccia Club to cover the venue rental and any new equipment required for the year.

(iv)£1,612 as a ward councillor funding donation to St Paul’s Church towards the general upkeep of the burial grounds, hold a Coronation Event and set up a Mother & Toddler Group.

 

Councillor Stansfield of Marton Ward has requested:

(i)£711 as a ward councillor funding donation to 14th and 16th Blackpool Guides for the purchase of camping equipment for the groups.

(ii)£1,187.43 as a ward councillor funding donation to 14th and 16th Blackpool Guides towards provisions and decorations for a Coronation Event to be held for the groups.

(iii)£189.46 as a ward councillor funding donation to 14th and 16th Blackpool Guides towards a sports day event for the Rainbows and Brownies within the groups.

(v)£1,276 as a ward councillor funding donation to Blackpool Boccia Club to cover the venue rental and any new equipment required for the year.

(iv)£1,612 as a ward councillor funding donation to St Paul’s Church towards the general upkeep of the burial grounds, hold a Coronation Event and set up a Mother & Toddler Group.

 

Councillor Cox of Squires Gate Ward has requested:

(i)£1,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to Babies and Buddies Group towards the continued running costs at The Hub.

(ii)£50 as a ward councillor funding donation to Highfield Road Community Group to cover the costs for the Highfield Road Business Meeting.

(iii)£140.67 as a ward councillor funding donation to Highfield Road Community Group for the purchase of replacement pads and a new battery for the defibrillator on Highfield Road.

 

 

Councillor Walsh of Squires Gate Ward has requested:

(i)£1,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to Babies and Buddies Group towards the continued running costs at The Hub.

(ii)£50 as a ward councillor funding donation to Highfield Road Community Group to cover the costs for the Highfield Road Business Meeting.

(iii)£140.67 as a ward councillor funding donation to Highfield Road Community Group for the purchase of replacement pads and a new battery for the defibrillator on Highfield Road.

 

Councillor Baker of Stanley Ward has requested £556.60 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Community Safety Team for the purchase and installation of alley gates at Westbank Avenue.

(ii)£388.50 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco Waste Services to clear and provide litter bins for the green space at Swainson Street Car Park.

(iii)£1,650 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco Waste Services to provide a Waste Amnesty within Talbot Ward.

(iv)£182.50 as a ward councillor funding donation to Print Services for the printing a leaflets to be distributed within the Ward to advertise the Waste Amnesty.

 

Councillor Smith of Talbot Ward has requested:

(i)£675 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Highways Department to provide painted graphics on the ground for children’s street games on the alley way to the rear of Newcastle Avenue.

(ii)£388.50 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco Waste Services to clear and provide litter bins for the green space at Swainson Street Car Park.

(iii)£1,650 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco Waste Services to provide a Waste Amnesty within Talbot Ward.

Councillor Collett of Tyldesley Ward has requested:

(i)£1,650 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco Waste Services to provide a Waste Amnesty within Tyldesley Ward.

(ii)£202.50 as a ward councillor funding donation to Print Services for the printing a leaflets to be distributed within the Ward to advertise the Waste Amnesty.

 

Councillor Matthews of Tyldesley Ward has requested:

(i)£1,650 as a ward councillor funding donation to Enveco Waste Services to provide a Waste Amnesty within Tyldesley Ward.

(ii)£202.50 as a ward councillor funding donation to Print Services for the printing a leaflets to be distributed within the Ward to advertise the Waste Amnesty.

 

Councillor Jackson of Victoria Ward has requested:

(i)£666.85 as a ward councillor funding donation to Revoe Library for the purchase of new children’s book stock for the Library.

(ii) £666.85 as a ward councillor funding donation to Palatine Library for the purchase of new children’s book stock for the Library.

 

Councillor Owen of Victoria Ward has requested:

(i)£1,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to Scorpions Allstars Cheerleading and Tumbling Squad towards to transport costs of the group to travel to their World Championship Event in April 2023.

(ii)£1,258.47 as a ward councillor funding donation to Blackpool Coastal Housing’s Befriending Service to provide a weekly telephone service supporting lonely residents within Victoria Ward.

(iii)£500 as a ward councillor funding donation to Revoe Minis towards a trip outside the Fylde Area for the morale of the group of young people.

(iv)£1,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to St Cuthbert’s Catholic Academy towards the purchase of new book stock for the school library.

(v)£1,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to Revoe Learning Academy towards the purchase of new book stock for the school library.

(vi)£1,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to South Shore Academy towards the purchase of new book stock for the school library.

(vii)£1,000 as a ward councillor funding donation to Waterloo Primary Academy towards the purchase of new book stock for the school library.

(viii)£500 as a ward councillor funding donation to 9th Blackpool Brownies and Guides towards a trip for those young people attending the group from Victoria Ward.

 

Councillor D Scott of Warbreck Ward has requested £3,040.72 as a ward councillor funding donation to the Parks Department to provide soft landscaping work at Gynn Sunken Gardens.
