Purpose:

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £15,000 to each Ward covered for the financial year 2020/2021. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

Councillors R Scott and Wing of Greenlands Ward have requested £1,247.90 as funding to Unity Academy to provide Christmas gifts to pupils attending the school during the distressful period of the Covid pandemic to give all attending the school a sense of community and cohesion.  This is a retrospective application due to the fact that the gifts were presented to pupils on the last day of the Christmas term and since then due to the Covid pandemic and national lockdown, it has taken staff many weeks to collate all the information required for this application.

(i)£2,538.11 as funding to the Highways Department for repairs to the Pedestrian Crossing outside St Nicholas School on School Road.

(ii)£7,294 as funding to the Highways Department for the refurbishment of footpaths along Carterville Close, Carisbrooke Avenue and Nairn Close.
