WARD GRANTS

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £15,000 to each Ward covered for the financial year 2019/2020. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

 

Councillors Hutton and Burdess of Clifton Ward have requested:

(i) £1,000 as funding to the Street Cleansing Department, for 10 days work by the Community Payback Team, to undertake weed clearance from streets in Clifton ward.

 

Councillors R Scott and Wing of Greenlands Ward have requested:

(i) £100 as funding to the Illuminations Department, towards the Lightpool Festival Glo-Football Event.

(ii) £608.12 as funding to the Street Cleansing Department, for two new Council mixed waste receptacles in Greenlands ward.

 

Councillors Critchley and Brookes of Hawes Side Ward have requested:

(i) £100 as funding to the Illuminations Department, towards the Lightpool Festival Glo-Football Event.

(ii) £200 as funding to The Washington Group, towards the International Women’s Day Festival in March 2020 to benefit young women in Hawes Side Ward.

 

Councillor Hunter of Highfield Ward has requested:

(i) £1,620 as funding to Highfield Free Tennis, towards ongoing provision of Winter Tennis Lessons at Highfield Park.

(ii) £100 as funding to the Street Cleansing Department, for 1 days work by the Community Payback Team, to undertake weed clearance to the rear of Keasden Avenue.

(iii) £1,590 as funding to the Illuminations Department for the purchase and installation of a large lit Christmas Tree.

Submitted as solo applications, due to Councillor Mrs Henderson MBE unable to provide a signature due to her current illness.

 

Councillors Benson and Mitchell have requested £200 as funding to The Washington Group, towards the International Women’s Day Festival in March 2020 to benefit young women in Layton Ward.

 

Councillors D Coleman and Stansfield of Marton Ward have requested:

(i) £500 as funding to the Broadway Stars Morris Dancers, to pay for transport and accommodation to attend the end of season championships.

(ii) £100 as funding to the Illuminations Department, towards the Lightpool Festival Glo-Football Event.

 

 

Councillors Mrs Callow and Callow of Norbreck Ward have requested:

(i) £3,883.75 as funding to the Highways Department, towards gulley cleaning in Norbreck Ward.

(ii) £350 as funding to the Parks Department, towards the replacement of a diseased tree on the Highway.

(iii) £820 as funding to All Hallows Church, towards repairs to the Church Barn.

 

Councillors Hugo and Smith of Talbot Ward have requested:

(i) £1,590 as funding to the Illuminations Department for the purchase and installation of a large lit Christmas Tree.

(ii) £2,550 as funding to the Alley Gates Team, for the purchase and installation of an alley gate on St Albans Road.

(iii) £1,734 as funding to Visit Blackpool, towards to maintenance of banners along Charnley Road.

 

Councillors Collett and Matthews of Tyldesley Ward have requested £580 to Oxford Square Allotment Society, towards a respite area at Oxford Square Allotments.

 

Councillors Jackson and Owen of Victoria Ward have requested £100 as funding to the Illuminations Department, towards the Lightpool Festival Glo-Football Event.

 

Councillors D Scott and M Scott of Warbreck Ward have requested

£500 as funding to The Washington Group, towards the International Women’s Day Festival in March 2020 to benefit young women in Warbreck Ward.
