The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £15,000 to each Ward covered for the financial year 2020/2021. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.
Councillors Taylor and L Williams of Claremont have requested
(i)£500 as urgent funding to the Blackpool Food Partnership for the purchase of provisions which are needed for the whole community at this present time.
(ii)£4,298.34 as funding to Claremont First Step Community Centre for the continued support for the salary for the manager at Claremont Park Community Centre for the spring 2020 quarter.
(iii)£1,750 as funding to the Magic Club at Claremont Ward Hub for the provision to purchase and put together food packages, activity packs and essential items for the young, vulnerable and older people of the ward.
Councillors R Scott and Wing of Greenlands Ward have requested £287.50 as funding for an urgent leaflet print and drop for “Operation Help” to all constituents of Greenlands Ward, towards supporting those self-isolating and vulnerable within the Greenlands community as a result of Covid-19. This is a retrospective application due to the urgent nature of the project.
Councillors Cross and Farrell of Ingthorpe Ward have requested £545 as funding to St Bernadette’s Roman Catholic Primary School for the purchase of an outside chalk board for an ongoing playground project at the school.
Councillors Benson and Mitchell of Layton Ward have requested:
(i)£500 as urgent funding to the Blackpool Food Partnership for the purchase of provisions which are needed for the whole community at this present time.
(ii)£500 as funding the Blackpool Stanley Rugby League Club to make repairs to the CCTV at their Kingscote Park Rugby Pitch.
(ii)£2,000 as funding to Layton Community House towards associated staffing and running costs for the centre.
Councillors Collett and Matthews of Tyldesley Ward have requested £500 as urgent funding to the Blackpool Food Partnership for the purchase of provisions which are needed for the whole community at this present time.
Councillors D Scott and M Scott of Warbreck Ward have requested £500 as urgent funding to the Blackpool Food Partnership for the purchase
