04/05/2020 - WARD GRANTS ref: 1613    Recommendations Approved

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £15,000 to each Ward covered for the financial year 2020/2021. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

 

Councillors Taylor and L Williams of Claremont have requested

(i)£500 as urgent funding to the Blackpool Food Partnership for the purchase of provisions which are needed for the whole community at this present time. 

(ii)£4,298.34 as funding to Claremont First Step Community Centre for the continued support for the salary for the manager at Claremont Park Community Centre for the spring 2020 quarter.

(iii)£1,750 as funding to the Magic Club at Claremont Ward Hub for the provision to purchase and put together food packages, activity packs and essential items for the young, vulnerable and older people of the ward.

 

Councillors R Scott and Wing of Greenlands Ward have requested £287.50 as funding for an urgent leaflet print and drop for “Operation Help” to all constituents of Greenlands Ward, towards supporting those self-isolating and vulnerable within the Greenlands community as a result of Covid-19.  This is a retrospective application due to the urgent nature of the project.

 

Councillors Cross and Farrell of Ingthorpe Ward have requested £545 as funding to St Bernadette’s Roman Catholic Primary School for the purchase of an outside chalk board for an ongoing playground project at the school.

 

Councillors Benson and Mitchell of Layton Ward have requested:

(i)£500 as urgent funding to the Blackpool Food Partnership for the purchase of provisions which are needed for the whole community at this present time. 

(ii)£500 as funding the Blackpool Stanley Rugby League Club to make repairs to the CCTV at their Kingscote Park Rugby Pitch.

(ii)£2,000 as funding to Layton Community House towards associated staffing and running costs for the centre.

 

Councillors Collett and Matthews of Tyldesley Ward have requested £500 as urgent funding to the Blackpool Food Partnership for the purchase of provisions which are needed for the whole community at this present time. 

 

Councillors D Scott and M Scott of Warbreck Ward have requested £500 as urgent funding to the Blackpool Food Partnership for the purchase

04/05/2020 - LICENSING DECISIONS FOR THE WEEK ENDING 3 MAY 2020 ref: 1612    Recommendations Approved

The Head of Licensing Service deals with a number of requests for licences under the Licensing Act, the Gambling Act and other pieces of legislations. Details of the licences, applied for and granted are outlined in the report.

To consider and approve the updated Corporate Scheme of Delegation.

  1. To approve the updated Corporate Scheme of Delegation.

 

  1. To request the Director of Resources to take suitable steps to publish the revised scheme of delegation and ensure that relevant officers are made aware and suitably trained.

 

  1. To request relevant Directors to consider whether their Directorate requires a Directorate Scheme of Delegation and if necessary approve that scheme by means of a published Officer Decision.

 

 


28/04/2020 - New Corporation Street Transport Hub The Borough of Blackpool (Corporation Street Transport Hub) (Various Restrictions) and (Revocations) Order 2019 ref: 1611    Recommendations Approved

To seek approval for officers to proceed with the statutory consultation, advertisement and making of a proposed Traffic Regulation Order to introduce a new Transportation Hub on Corporation Street between Church Street and West Street and revoke any existing restrictions on Corporation Street as detailed within this report.

To seek approval for officers to proceed with the statutory consultation and advertisement in respect of a proposed Traffic Regulation Order the effect of which is to introduce the new Poulton Road Pedestrian Island as detailed within this report.

If no objections are received in relation to the proposals or if any received objections are subsequently withdrawn, to authorise the Head of Legal to make the Traffic Regulation Order.
