Consideration of all representations received in response to the proposal to make a gating order restricting public access at all times to the highway that runs from the side of 3 and 5 Arnold Avenue in a northerly direction to the rear of 21 and 33 Broadway, Blackpool, by all persons except for adjoining owners and occupiers, the emergency services and other service providers.

08/01/2019 - CHANCE2SHINE RECRUITMENT AGENCY ref: 1322    Recommendations Approved

To consider providing authority for the Council to enter into contracts with employers seeking to use the Chance2Shine Recruitment service through pilot period of 2 years.

To authorise the Council to enter into contracts with employers who wish to use the services of the Council’s Chance2Shine Recruitment service offering temporary employment opportunities during the pilot two year period.

 


07/01/2019 - BLACKPOOL LOCAL PLAN PART 2: PROPOSED SITE ALLOCATIONS AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT POLICIES - INFORMAL CONSULTATION PAPER ref: 1321    Recommendations Approved

The new Blackpool Local Plan comprises Part 1: Core Strategy, which was adopted in January 2016 and Part 2: Site Allocations and Development Management Policies document. 

 

This report presents theProposed Site Allocations and Development Management Policies – Informal Consultation Paperfor public consultation along with the supporting draft evidence base documents on housing, local centres, green belt and hot food takeaways.

The Cabinet Member agreed the recommendations as outlined above namely:

 

  1. To approve the Informal Consultation Paper for public consultation for a period of 6 weeks (refer Appendix A).

 

  1. To agree to the publication on the Council’s Website, the supporting draft evidence base documents (refer Appendices B-E).

 

  1. To defer any minor drafting and textual changes to the informal Consultation paper at Appendix A and the evidence base at Appendices B to E which do not alter the substance of the documents to the Head of Planning Strategy.

07/01/2019 - LICENSING DECISIONS FOR THE PERIOD UP TO 6 JANUARY 2019 ref: 1319    Recommendations Approved

The Head of Licensing Service deals with a number of requests for licences under the Licensing Act, the Gambling Act and other pieces of legislations. Details of the licences, applied for and granted are outlined in the report.
