To agree that the fees charged can be varied by the Director of Community and Environmental Services, following consultation with the Cabinet Member for Environment, Highways and Climate Change as a result of market changes.
The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £15,000 to each Ward covered for the financial year 2019/2020. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.
Councillors Galley and T Williams of Anchorsholme Ward have requested £644 as funding for a replacement defibrillator for Anchorsholme Library.
Councillors Cain and Hobson of Bloomfield Ward have requested £1,490 as funding to the Alley Gates Team for the purchase and installation of an alley gate to the side of 159 Park Road, to include £300 advertising costs.
Councillors Burdess and Hutton of Clifton Ward have requested:
(i)£1,500 as part funding to Blackpool Coastal Housing for the purchase and installation of a memorial stone at Langdale Green for people to remember loved ones.
(ii)£1,000 as part funding to Redeeming Our Communities towards the purchase of a second hand van to be used for community gardening at Mereside.
(iii)£1,000 as funding to Blackpool Boys and Girls Club to provide young people with good food and to teach them how to cook in a healthy way.
Councillors Brookes and Critchley of Hawes Side Ward have requested:
(i)£2,523.40 as funding to the Parks Department for the purchase and planting of a permanent Christmas Tree at Crossland Road Park.
(ii)£2,000 as funding to Redeeming Our Communities to support the gardening and maintenance projects within Hawes Side Ward.
Councillor Hunter of Highfield Ward has requested £154.50 for the purchase of a TV Licence for the Molyneux Drive Community Centre. This application is submitted as a solo application due to Cllr Mrs Henderson MBE being unable to provide a signature due to her current illness.
