To confirm the outcome of the recent tender exercise undertaken for Monitoring and Servicing of Hot and Cold Water Services for Blackpool Council.

Decision:

To approve the appointment of Waterman Environmental Services Ltd to undertake Monitoring and Servicing of Hot and Cold Water Services for Blackpool Council from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2020 with the option to extend for a period up to 2 years.

 


23/11/2018 - WARD GRANTS ref: 1300    Recommendations Approved

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £15,000 to each Ward covered for the financial year 2018/2019. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

 

Councillors Cain and Hobson of Bloomfield Ward have requested £530 as funding to the Illuminations Department for the purchase and installation, together with Tyldesley and Victoria Wards, of a large lit Christmas Tree.

 

Councillors I Taylor and L Williams of Claremont Ward have requested:

 

(i)£3,000.86 as funding to Claremont First Step Community Centre for the continued provision of services as part payment for the salary of the centre manager.

(ii)£500 as funding to Blackpool Town Football Club for the purchase of new football kit and training tops for the winter months.

 

Councillors Ryan and Mrs Wright of Greenlands Ward have requested £1,590 as funding to the Illuminations Department for the purchase and installation of a large lit Christmas Tree.

 

Councillors D Coleman and Critchley of Hawes Side Ward have requested:

(i)£100 as funding to the Street Cleansing Department for one days’ Community Payback Team work to remove debris and weeds from the unadopted access way on Harcourt Road.

(ii)£530 as funding to the Illuminations Department for the purchase and installation, together with Marton and Tyldesley Wards, of a large lit Christmas Tree.

 

Councillors Elmes and Singleton of Marton Ward have requested £2,390 as funding to the Alley Gates Team for the purchase and installation of alley gates at Doncaster Road, to include £300 advertising costs.

 

Councillors Campbell and Kirkland of Park Ward have requested £5,000 as funding to the Highways and Traffic Department towards the construction of a pedestrian refuge island on Poulton Road.

 

Councillors Cox and Humphreys of Squires Gate Ward have requested £500 as funding to the Spirit of Youth Junior Football Club for the purchase of new football kits and rain jackets for the children aged 4-6 years attending the club.

 

Councillors Roberts and Stansfield of Stanley Ward have requested £2,780 as funding to the Illuminations Department for the purchase and installation of 14 small wall-mounted lit Christmas Trees.

 

Councillors Collett and Matthews of Tyldesley Ward have requested:

(i)£530 as funding to the Illuminations Department for the purchase and installation, together with Bloomfield and Victoria Wards, of a large lit Christmas Tree.

ii)£530 as funding to the Illuminations Department for the purchase and installation, together with Hawes Side and Marton Wards, of a large lit Christmas Tree.

 

Councillors Jackson and Owen of Victoria Ward have requested £530 as funding to the Illuminations Department for the purchase and installation, together with Bloomfield and Tyldesley Wards, of a large lit Christmas Tree.

19/11/2018 - LICENSING DECISIONS FOR THE TWO WEEKS ENDING 18 NOVEMBER 2018 ref: 1298    Recommendations Approved

The Head of Licensing Service deals with a number of requests for licences under the Licensing Act, the Gambling Act and other pieces of legislations. Details of the licences, applied for and granted are outlined in the report.
