The Executive agreed the recommendations as outlined above namely:

 

  1. To adopt the proposed ICT/Digital Strategy as attached at Appendix 2a, to the Executive report.

 

  1. To note the linkages between the Council’s two main priorities and how digital technologies can support and enable their delivery

 

  1. To note the risk of how Blackpool could be left behind other destinations and towns without a strategy and investment in this area.

The Executive agreed the recommendations as outlined above:

 

  1. To note the report.  

 

  1. To continue to lobby Government along with other local authorities facing similar pressures and the Local Government Association for more funding to cope with the mounting demand and new burdens presenting in Children’s Services.

 

  1. To require the respective directors and Director of Resources to continue to closely monitor and manage service financial and operational performances, specifically Children’s Services, Strategic Leisure Assets, Treasury Management/Business Loans Fund and Parking Services.
