Purpose:

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £15,000 to each Ward covered for the financial year 2018/2019. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

 

Councillors Galley and T Williams of Anchorsholme Ward have requested £2,000 as funding to the Street Cleansing Department for a street clean and weed removal with Anchorsholme Ward.

 

Councillors Clapham and Maycock for Bispham Ward have requested £1,200 as funding to the Street Cleansing Department for a street clean and weed removal within Bispham Ward.

 

Councillors I Taylor and L Williams of Claremont Ward have requested £375 as funding to the Street Cleansing Department for the clearing of all rubbish and debris from Lord Street, High Street and Springfield Road.

 

Councillors Hutton and L Taylor of Clifton have requested:

(i)£830 as funding to Blackpool Boys and Girls Club Mereside for the purchase of sports equipment for the young people to use attending the Club.

(ii)£1,000 as funding to Freedom Church Mereside Social Seniors Club towards setting up recreational and educational activities every week.

(iii)£100 as funding to the Waste Management Team for pay a clean up of the alleyway at Highbank Avenue.

 

Councillors Benson and Mitchell of Layton Ward have requested £1,145 as funding to the Highways Department for the purchase and installation of 4 x Parking Scheme Signs for Leaford Road.

 

Councillors I Coleman and Smith of Talbot Ward have requested £120 as funding to Belle Vue Strawberry Gardens Action Group for the printing of leaflets to help promote the group in Talbot Ward.

 

Councillors Collett and Matthews of Tyldesley Ward have requested £2,000 as funding to Blackpool Music Services towards instrumental support, choral support, performance opportunities and bursary support of young people within Tyldesley Ward.

 

Councillors D Scott and Mrs Scott of Warbreck Ward have requested £3,180 as funding to the Illuminations Department for the purchase and installation of 2 large lit Christmas Trees.

 

Decision:

The Leader of the Council agreed the recommendation as outlined above namely:
