Purpose:
To confirm the outcome of the recent market tender exercise undertaken for Tramway Maintenance Services for Permanent Way assets on Blackpool Promenade.
Blackpool Council wishes to appoint 2 Contractors on 2 lots:
- Lot 1 (Sub-Arc): Not awarded – will be subject to further investigation, trial of different solutions and re-scoping for feasibility and affordability
- Lot 2 (Track tamping): Electrification Solutions Limited (ESL)
- Lot 3 (Rail Replacement): Keltbray
Decision:
To approve the appointment of ESL for lot 2 and Keltbray for lot 3 of the above works.
