Purpose:

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £15,000 to each Ward covered for the financial year 2020/2021. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

 

Councillors Burdess and Hutton of Clifton Ward have requested £1,000 as funding to The Mereside Boys and Girls Club towards support boxes for 150 young people in Clifton Ward during the COVID-19 restrictions.

 

Councillors R Scott and Wing of Greenlands Ward have requested £1,780 as funding to the Alley Gates Team for the purchase and installation on an alley gate at Quebec Avenue.

 

Councillors Brookes and Critchley of Hawes Side Ward have requested £100 as funding to the Street Cleansing Department for one day’s work by the Community Payback Team to clear an area to the rear of Marsden Road of rubbish.

 

Councillor Hunter of Highfield Ward has requested:

(i)£100 as funding to the Street Cleansing Department for one days’ work by the Community Payback Team to clear the alleyway between Kingsmede and Edgeway Road.

(ii)£50 as funding to the Street Cleansing Department for half a days’ work by the Community Payback Team to clear the alleyway between Keasden Avenue and Lennox Gate.

These applications are submitted as solo applications due to Councillor Mrs Henderson MBE being unable to provide a signature due to her current illness.
