Purpose:

The Council's delegated budgets scheme allocates budgets of £15,000 to each Ward covered for the financial year 2018/2019. The funding for this scheme can be spent on supplementing funding public services, for the benefit of the local community.

 

Councillors Cain and Hobson of Bloomfield Ward have requested £4,021 as funding to the Property and Asset Management Department for the purchase and installation of fencing around the raised beds to the side of Mary Smith House, 1 Ibbison Court.

 

Councillors Hutton and L Taylor of Clifton Ward have requested £2,000 as funding to the Park Services Department for a Junior Park Ranger Activities Co-ordinator to deliver a programme of events for park users.

 

Councillors Benson and Mitchell of Layton Ward have requested £523 as funding to the Highways Department for the provision to paint lines on the resurfaced car park at Kingscote Park.

 

Councillors Elmes and Singleton of Marton Ward have requested £2,050 as funding to the Alley Gates Team for the purchase and installation of alley gates on the footpath between Knutsford Road and Kelmarsh Close.

 

Councillors Campbell and Kirkland of Park Ward have requested £1,610 as funding to Blackpool Coastal Housing for the purchase and installation of a defibrillator @ The Grange.

 

Councillors I Coleman and Smith of Talbot Ward have requested £4,725 as part funding to the Alley Gates Team for the purchase and installation of alley gates on Albert Road.

 

Councillors Jackson and Owen of Victoria Ward have requested:

(i)£700 as part funding to the Libraries Department for purchase of new furniture and books for Palatine Library and Revoe Library.

(ii)£1,640 as funding to Blackpool Coastal Housing for the purchase and installation of a defibrillator at the Mosque.

(iii)£824.83 as funding to Broadway Stars Morris Dancers to pay for the hire of Blackpool Sports Centre for the annual dance competition.

 

Decision:

The Leader of the Council agreed the recommendation as outlined above namely:
